Gourmet Festa and the Canola Flower Field Special Venue

Gourmet Festa (Roadside Rest Area Takikawa venue)

Only on May 17 (Sat), 18 (Sun), 24 (Sat), and 25 (Sun)

Dining areas: one on the south side of the Roadside Rest Area Takikawa building and a second on the grass off of National Route 12 (Hokumon Shinkin Bank side)

 

Canola Flower Field Special Venue

Only on May 17 (Sat), 18 (Sun), 24 (Sat), and 25 (Sun)

Entrance Fee

Adults: 500 yen, Students aged K-12: 300 yen, Preschoolers and younger: Free

*There is no parking lot at the Canola Flower Field Special Venue, so we ask that visitors take a Canola Flower Bus (fare required) or a Canola Flower Taxi (fare required) operating out of Roadside Rest Area Takikawa to the site.

*After paying the entrance fee, visitors will be provided with shoe covers that are to be worn over their shoes.

*Local specialties, food, and a limited number of original goods will be on sale at the Canola Flower Field Special Venue, offered by Takami Agricultural Products and the Ebeotsu Commercial and Industrial Association with the Ebeotsu Lions Club respectively.

 

 

Transportation

Canola Flower Rideshare Taxis (operating out of Roadside Rest Area Takikawa)

Running every day throughout the festival period, May 17 (Sat) - May 25 (Sun)

Boarding FareApprox. 60 minute trip

Adults and Children: 1,000 yen, Those with disabilities: 800 yen, Preschoolers and younger: Free

Weekends, operating at 20 minute intervals (Approx. 20 trips per day)

Weekdays, operating at 30 minute intervals (Approx. 6 trips per day)

After departing from Roadside Rest Area Takikawa, taxis will drive along the fields and guide you through the most beautiful flower fields on that given day.

Visitors may also stop by the Canola Flower Field Special Venue on Saturdays and Sundays throughout the festival period (a separate entrance fee is required).

*This bus is a shuttle bus that runs between Roadside Rest Area Takikawa and the Canola Flower Field Special Venue.

*This bus runs in 15 minute intervals.

 

Bike Rentals (Loaned from and returned to Roadside Rest Area Takikawa)

Available every day throughout the festival period, May 17 (Sat) - May 25 (Sun)

Usage Fee

E-bike: 2 hours / 1,000 yen

Mountain bike / city bike : 2 hours / 700 yen

*100 yen per each additional hour.

*Those arriving as a group via tour bus, please use the JA Takikawa Apple Collection Center parking lot. Please use the space behind Roadside Rest Area Takikawa to get on and off the bus. The Roadside Rest Area Takikawa lot is the only parking lot available on weekdays.

CAUTION

Access to canola flower fields beyond the Canola Flower Field Special Venue is prohibited. Please DO NOT enter under any circumstances.

Access to the Canola Flower Field Special Venue is only granted on weekends throughout the festival period. Please DO NOT enter on weekdays.

There are no parking lots near the canola flower fields. Please view the flowers through your car windows and refrain from parking on the side of the road.

 

 

City Bus(Takifuka Line) *Public transit

This is the most inexpensive way to get from JR Takikawa Station to Roadside Rest Area Takikawa.

Board the bus bound for Fukagawa Municipal Hospital (Fukagawa Shiritsu Byoin Mae), get off at the stop "Ebeotsu Main Street" (Ebeotsu Chuo-Dori), and walk one minute to Roadside Rest Area Takikawa.

Fare: 460 yen one-way
